About Aviat Group, LLC
Aviat Group was built on a simple conviction: the people who actually build things, make things, and operate things deserve a partner who tells them the truth, does what they say, and measures success by outcomes — not hours billed or reports delivered.
Who We Are
Aviat Group wasn't built in a boardroom. It was built from years of working directly inside the kinds of businesses we now serve — watching owners with real talent and real drive get ground down by the operational, financial, and leadership problems that nobody warned them about when they started.
The consulting work grew out of a simple observation: most small business coaching is either too generic to be useful or too academic to be real. Business owners in manufacturing, construction, and skilled trades don't need a framework — they need someone who understands their specific world, will tell them the hard truth, and will stay in the room until things actually change.
The construction service came from the same place. Too many industrial and commercial clients were getting burned by general contractors who didn't understand operational environments — who built things that looked fine on paper but didn't work in practice. We know those environments from the inside.
Both services share one common thread: owners who deserve better than what the market was giving them.
"I started this because I knew what it felt like to be the owner who was working harder than anyone in the building — and still couldn't figure out why the business wasn't working the way it should. I wanted to build something that actually helped people like that. Not a consulting firm. A real partner."

The Story
Aviat Group didn't start with a business plan. It started with a conviction that the people doing real, hands-on work in the world — the manufacturers, the shop owners, the contractors — deserved better support than the market was providing.
Each service grew out of a real, observed need in a specific market. Not a business plan. Not a market analysis. Real conversations with real owners hitting real walls.
Both services share the same operating philosophy: show up, be honest, do what you said you'd do, and measure success by what actually changes for the client.
We're based in Onalaska, Washington, and licensed to operate across Washington, Oregon, and South Dakota — with consulting serving clients remotely across the country.
How We Operate
These aren't wall posters. They're the actual standards we hold ourselves to on every engagement — and the things our clients should be able to count on from us, every time.
We tell clients what they need to hear, not what they want to hear. If a plan won't work, we say so. If a project has risk, we name it. Honest feedback early is always cheaper than polite silence later.
We do what we say we're going to do. On time, to spec, without excuses. Our word is the contract. If something changes, we communicate it immediately — we don't let clients find out after the fact.
The measure of our work is what changes for the client — not what we document, present, or propose. Activity without outcome is not success. We're not satisfied until the needle actually moves.
We work in a focused set of industries because depth matters. Generalist advice, generalist construction, and generalist maintenance all deliver generalist results. We chose to go deep instead of wide.
Every recommendation we make is filtered through one question: is this actually in the client's best interest? Not in ours, not in the market's. If the answer is no, we don't recommend it.
We hold ourselves to the same standards we advise our clients to hold. Licensed, insured, documented, compliant. We can't credibly help owners build better operations if we don't run one ourselves.
Two Services
Most service businesses try to be everything to everyone. Aviat Group took the opposite approach — two distinct service lines, each staffed by people who specialize in that specific domain.
The consulting team understands manufacturing, precision machining, and infrastructure operations from the inside. The construction team builds for those same environments. That overlap is intentional — it means the team advising on operational efficiency understands firsthand how a facility needs to be built to support it.
Where client needs overlap — for example, a manufacturer who needs a new facility built and wants strategic guidance on running the business inside it — having both capabilities under one trusted partner is a real advantage. But we don't force connections that don't exist.
Focused expertise first. Cross-service convenience second. That's the model.
